“Two perfect retreats, two cocoons. Shielded from the outside world and yet with a view onto it – a safe haven that resembles our time in the womb. Two simple designs: clean lines and cubist volumes. Intimacy and absolute tranquillity. No distracting features or visible technology impair your relaxation.”
Plenty of wood, plenty of glass, plenty of privacy. The all-embracing interplay of the timber strips and slit openings characterises this sauna’s uniquely striking countenance. Available in hemlock, oak or walnut: the choice is yours. The front and the forward portions of the side walls are decked out in ceilinghigh glass, thereby creating a visual connection with the outside world and a harmonious interplay with the incoming light. Despite this, viewing in the opposite direction – from outside inwards – is virtually impossible. How many saunas protect your privacy better than this?
It’s about the light, not the light fixtures. We’ve devoted special attention to the indirect lighting system. Light fixtures have been integrated seamlessly into the sides of the invitingly broad seating levels. A further light source is fitted behind the ceiling-mounted moulding. That way you see nothing other than a light which warmly embraces the entire space, allowing a deep sense of relaxation to permeate your being. Making the technology invisible is a guiding principle for Matteo Thun. Thus the heater too is discreetly positioned beneath the seating.
